Classic Stovetop Popping Instructions

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil, olive oil, butter, or grapeseed oil
  • 8 tablespoons White Cat Corn premium popcorn kernels

Preparation

Step 1
Place one tablespoon of oil and eight tablespoons of popping corn in a large heavy saucepan and cover.

Step 2
Cook on medium-high heat. shaking constantly to prevent burning and allowing steam to escape.

Step 3
When the popping stops shake again to prevent sticking or burning and remove the lid to let cool.

Maple-Butter Spiced Popcorn

Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup White Cat Corn premium popcorn kernels
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
  • 1/4 optional teaspoon salt

Preparation

Step 1

Step 2
Melt the butter either in the pan or in the microwave and whisk in the maple syrup. Drizzle this over the fresh popcorn, stirring the popcorn
as you pour to make sure it gets evenly distributed.

Step 3
Sprinkle half the spice mixture over the popcorn. cover the bowl with a dinner plate, and shake vigorously. Taste the popcorn and if you’d like more spice, add the other half of the spice mix and shake again.
